HNET family

HNET8021

HNET8021 is a dual-link radio for command and video. Two independent links, one low band and one high band, run at the same time, so interference on one band does not take the connection down. Time of Flight ranging comes off the same link, for relative positioning where GNSS is unavailable.

Hardware

HNET8021 Features

Frequency bands

300–1090 MHz and 600–2700 MHz, both carried at the same time.

Link architecture

Two independent links at once, so interference on one band does not take the connection down.

Waveform

Different spread-spectrum techniques, frequency hopping and multiple modulations, including a LoRa mode that carries data as well as video.

Interference and jamming

Spread-spectrum modulation across two separate bands gives strong resistance to interference and deliberate jamming.

User data rate

Up to 2 Mbit/s, carrying command, telemetry, sensor data and video over one link.

Output power

7–30 dBm (1 W), set in software.

Link range

50+ km for video, 100+ km with LoRa modulation.

Network topologies

Point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and mesh, with a receive-only mode for broadcast.

Security and management

AES-128 / AES-256. Configured from a browser over Ethernet or serial, or through the configuration API.

Size, weight and power

Compact, light and power-efficient, for low-cost UAVs and platforms with tight resource budgets.

Ranging and positioning

Time of Flight measurement over the same link, for relative positioning and as a beacon for GNSS-denied navigation.

Beyond the module, we supply the complete link: radio, ground and air antennas, integration support and a radio link budget calculator. Contact us for options.

Every design is subject to change and each module comes in more than one version. Talk to us about your specific integration.

Interface

Platform

Every product ships with the web interface and a configuration API.

Web interface

Configure radio and network settings directly in your browser. View device status, review link information and inspect the radio spectrum from one interface.

  • Radio configuration
  • Device monitoring
  • Spectrum diagnostics

Configuration API

Change modem settings programmatically from your own application. Integrate configuration into your existing software workflows.
