HCOM family

HCOM100

HCOM100 is a software-defined radio for tactical data and video. It works in 2.4 GHz or 5.1–5.9 GHz, one band at a time, and carries more than 100 Mbit/s. Nodes form point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and self-forming mesh networks, so a group of platforms holds a link without fixed infrastructure.

10 W and 20 W total channel output power versions are also available, in different form factors.

Hardware

HCOM100 Features

Frequency bands

2.4 GHz or 5.1–5.9 GHz, selected in software. One band at a time.

Link architecture

One link, 2×TX / 2×RX MIMO with MRC gain for link budget and interference resilience.

Waveform

OFDMA with adaptive QAM, BPSK to 1024-QAM+, and LDPC coding for spectral efficiency.

Interference and jamming

MIMO diversity and LDPC coding hold the link in degraded spectrum, with integrated spectrum scanning to find clear channels.

User data rate

100+ Mbit/s.

Output power

7–30 dBm (1 W), with a boost to 33 dBm (2 W), set in software. 10 W and 20 W total channel output power versions are available for UGV, USV and ground-station applications.

Link range

Up to 30 km.

Network topologies

Point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, relay and self-forming mesh, including MANET.

Security and management

AES-128 / AES-256, with remote or local firmware upgrade. Configured from a browser over Ethernet, or through the configuration API.

Size, weight and power

Sized for interceptors and small UAVs, with higher-power versions for vehicle and ground nodes.

Beyond the module, we supply the complete link: radio, ground and air antennas, integration support and a radio link budget calculator. Contact us for options.

Every design is subject to change and each module comes in more than one version. Talk to us about your specific integration.

Interface

Platform

Every product ships with the web interface and a configuration API.

Web interface

Configure radio and network settings directly in your browser. View device status, review link information and inspect the radio spectrum from one interface.

  • Radio configuration
  • Device monitoring
  • Spectrum diagnostics

Configuration API

Change modem settings programmatically from your own application. Integrate configuration into your existing software workflows.
